1st Customer Review : DeLonghi KG40 Electric Coffee Bean Grinder
This little guy pulverizes my coffee beans and is a great asset to my making a successful shot every single time! I very happy with this coffee grinder. I have two others that just could not grind my beans the proper way to make expresso with.

Update: What a short life this grinder had. While it worked, it was excellent. It just could not take the work-out I gave it. It was great while it lasted (1 month). I took my five stars away and am replacing with two due to having to trash the item.

2nd Customer Review : Lacking key features, but does well
This grinder (the KG40 model) is lacking two key features:

1) Grind time adjustment: On this model, there's no setting or dial that allows you to select a desired grind time. So you totally have to guess at how long you should grind your beans. This is a key feature for me, and my old $19 Hamilton Beach coffee grinder had this! (the next model up, the KG49 does have this) Because you cannot really see into the chamber, this is a total guessing game.

2) Bean measurement: Again, my old $19 grinder from Wal Mart had measurement marks on the side of the chamber so I knew how many beans to add based on the size of the pot. WIth this one, you just have to guess.

Basically, I want to be able to get up in the morning, put in a measured amount of beans, grind for a measured amount of time, have a very consistent grind, and make coffee. This grinder does nothing to help with this. Even the most sophisticated coffee experts would have problems getting...
3rd Customer Review : Disappointed
A friend has a Delonghi; small, and super quiet. That does NOT describe this model!
It is huge (the image deceives), noisy, and takes as long to grind as my very old and dull-bladed Krups I wanted to replace. Worst of all, you have to exert a ton of double-armed-pressure to activate. I'll keep using my Krups till it falls apart, thank you.
Also, that thing sticking up turns out to be a loosely set in handled-brush for cleaning. It is too easy to knock out of its holder, and is pointless and gimmicky. Returning.

Product Features :

• Durable and long lasting stainless steel grinding blades.
• Easy access to ground coffee with removable, transparent ground coffee container.
• Quick cleaning with conveniently intregrated brush.
• Simple to use with one-touch push button control. Remove hand when desired consistency is achieved.
• Safe operation with automatic system that stops blades when pressure is removed from the lid. This ensures lid cannot be removed while blades are still turning.

2nd Customer Review : Steam button breaks
I like this iron in general. I like it especially for the steam generator ability. However, this is my third iron that has broken and rowenta does not back them up. On all three irons the button that you push for steam has popped and quits working. I would not recommend this iron to anyone.
3rd Customer Review : PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING! No on/off switch!
I have owned Rowenta Steam Irons and Generators for almost 20 years, they are typically one of my favorite items, and I have been very satisfied with them until now. This model works great, BUT.........there is NO ON/OFF switch. You have to plug it in to turn it on, and unplug it to turn it off. There is nothing in the instructions or in any of the materials that mentions this, come on Rowenta you can and should do better!

1st Customer Review : Great Heater, a little loud, but good for white noise at night. NOT like a personal hair dryer as a reviewer said :)
I live in South Dakota, and for those of you who don't know- it can get VERY COLD here. Right now we're having a little "arctic blast" as the weather service calls it and our high temp today was -1 degrees Farenheit, with wind chills 30-40 below. We have a nice, but older 1960's home with old insulation and windows, plus hardwood floors which makes it harder to keep the rooms warm. This heater is a new model for Delonghi, so there weren't any reviews out there when I bought it so I took a chance on it, and I'm glad I did. It kicks out alot of heat, has a programmable thermostat, and has the option of oscillating which spreads the heat around quite well. As far as the loudness goes, yes it is a bit loud for some people, but certainly not even close to a hair dryer!! . But you do get used to it and its great for white noise if you need that to sleep at night. The only thing I dislike about it is that it beeps every time you change a setting, or move it, which is a little annoying...

2nd Customer Review : Works Well For Us!
I have an elderly family member with a lower-circulatory problem and limited mobility, so we needed something to heat localized areas of the house to keep her comfortable. This space heater remote controlled, adjustable thermostat filled the requirements perfectly. Unlike other reviewers, I have no problem with the fan noise -- it's a small unit and has to "blow" the air -- not terribly loud, but noticeable, definitely not a deterrent for us. The added safety feature (turns off when tipped over) works and has saved us from a couple of mishaps (inadvertent bumps with the wheelchair). It works well in relatively small spaces, heats in seconds, and has proven to be very reliable so far. I'm considering one for the home office (for use in the cooler mornings/evenings).
3rd Customer Review : Deafening
Everything about this heater sounds great: 24 hour timer, digital display, remote etc... But there is one drawback I should have noticed that was omitted from the desciption -- The Noise. This tiny heater is about as loud as a personal hair dryer.

A shame it's this loud because it cancels out every other redeeming factor. I returned mine for a refund. 2 stars.

Product Features :

• Safeheat 1500-watt digital ceramic heater with fan-only option for summer ventilation and convenient carry handle
• Ceramic heating element with large grille and side to side motorized oscillation
• Multiple heat settings: Maximum, Minimum and Auto
• Power indicator light, easy to use digital control panel with LCD display, 24-hour timer, full function remote control, anti-freeze setting, air filtration and removable dust filter

2nd Customer Review : Absolute disaster. Avoid this product at all cost
I bought 3 of these units at $500 each. 2 of them ceased working within a week. No help from the help line. OK, try to pack them back up again and lug them back to the store, or ship them. The third one does come on, but the tiny water reservoir fills immediately and is difficult and time-consuming to empty.

this is a very badly designed and thought-out product. I wish I'd never laid eyes on it. I've never been so disgusted with anything I've bought ever. Save yourself. Do not even consider this item. It does not work.
3rd Customer Review : Beware of this gimick FAKE AC/Heat unit.
I used to do Air conditioning and Heating for a living so I know very well what I am talking about. For many years now I have a different career. I recently bought a house that was missing its central heat and AC air unit. My mom intending to be sweet and wanting to help out bought me a moving in gift which is this DeLonghi PACN130HPE. She forgets I am a expert in AC as I lived out of state while in that career.
Upon opening the box I immediately became suspicious of its advertised cooling capacities. I instantly knew that in order for it to accomplish its claims, it would have to have two ventilation hoses to an outside window. 1 a fresh air intake hose. And 2 a heat exhaust hose. But it only came with the capacity to handle one hose only which is the heat exhaust hose.
Let me explain Air conditioning principles of operation. There are two primary components of moving heat from the inside of a building to the outside of a building so you are left with a cool interior. One...

1st Customer Review : Read Reviews But Purchased Anywyas
The machine is not as big as I was worried so it would fit nicely on the counter. It is attractive, well packaged and seems solidly built.
I was really excited about getting it even though a bit worried from those who stated theirs quit working after such a short time. I also purchased a grinder.

Unfortunately when I set it up and stumbled through instructions that were not very friendly, the machine simply would not work. It wold sputter and make weird noises then flash lights meaning no water delivery.

The troubleshooting section of the instructions says to check filter, valve and water container. Checked all multiple times and it did seem to have trouble with flowing water out of the water container with the filter in, so I removed it after multiple attempts to re-activate it. Water would then come out the valve, but machine still operated with failures to deliver.

I tried steam, hot water, and all different types of coffee in one cup, two...

2nd Customer Review : Quit working after 1 month
Was awesome for 1 months and then would only make lattes not cappuccinos as the frothing of the milk wouldn't work any more. That was already my second attempt with that machine, the first one being defective and leaking water. Surprising from a reputable coffee machine manufacturer. I haven't bothered with the customer service, I just took it back.
3rd Customer Review : Quit working in 2 weeks!
The EC 860 quit working after 2 weeks and then would only spit hot water. DeLonghi customer service was the worst I've ever encountered telling me only that I had to find a service place, I had to call to prearrange the places willingness to do the warrantee work on it and I had to pay the shipping... after 5 attempts to get any response at all. Perhaps my machine was a lemon, but there's no excuse for DeLonghi's lack of "customer care" (their words) & I won't waste my money on any of their products again. Thank GOODNESS for Amazon who will take it back and reimburse me!

1st Customer Review : Great Oil-filled Heater
This is the second Delonghi oil heater that I purchased through Amazon & I am completely satisfied with both of them. (I also purchased the Delonghi HM25E Dragon Ultimate Oil Filled Radiator Heater purchased in 2005, twice the cost, twice the heater.)

I like the size of this smaller one a little more -- it fits better into the small space where I am using it. We use it in a 10' x 10' main bathroom. The room is not insulated (85 year old home) and gets almost no heat from the home's central heating system (radiated water heat).

I have used it every day this winter and found that it is more than adequate for this room, even on the coldest winter days. The temperature recently has dropped to -5 F overnight (Chicago) and I have the heater set on high to turn on 60-90 minutes before I get up. The bathroom is always nice and toasty in the AM, even though the exterior wall is cold to the touch.

I was concerned about the safety of using an electric heater...

2nd Customer Review : Instructions! The first time you start this heater....
Update Dec. 2012: This is the 3rd winter that I am using these heaters. They are great for continuous heat. I'm still using only the "Low" switch and around "3" on the dial. We just had zero degree temps and I turned the closed laundry room heater to 4.5 for a couple of days to protect the pipes.

Here's how simple it is to test and learn to use your heater:
Take the heater to a room that you can close the door to and will not use for the next 24 hours- spare bedroom, bath, or garage. Before you plug it in- push all the red pins on the timer dial toward the center. This will prevent the heater from going on and off during your testing. You can program it later.

Plug the cord in. Click both red switches to on and they will light up. Each switch controls a separate heating coil. If they do not light up, go to the black box on the power cord and press the red button. If you now have both switches light up, you have just solved the problems of over half who have...
3rd Customer Review : good product
Bought two of these last year and really like them. They are only 15" high (21" long) flat saucer feet for good stabliity, and no sharp metal edges for the kids to hit their heads on.

The Timing and temperature dials are easy to use. We used them last year when natural gas was so expensive. They did such a good job keeping the kids rooms at a consistant temperature at night that we plan to use them this year too. It worked out much better than using the house thermostat at night.

Product Features :

• Compact size fits everywhere.
• Safe-to-use in the bathroom with the GFI plug.
• Energy-saving timer with 96 settings allows you to heat rooms for any desired amount of time, and lets you select different time periods throughout the day and night.

1st Customer Review : DeLonghi designed #1 coffee maker!
When my $100 coffee maker quit, I researched coffee makers and found this model from DeLonghi I hadn't heard of before. The design of this model sets a new standard for on-the-counter coffee makers. It is incredible to be able to put the filter, coffee, AND WATER in the maker without moving the machine. The caraffe doesn't drip when pouring into the swing out arm (or into the cup later) so there's no messy drips to wipe up at any time.
The digital clock isn't the quickest to set since you have to hold a button in as it changes in minutes only, but hopefully that won't need set often.
The "aroma" button really works! There actually is a difference in the brewing aroma with it on.
Most importantly, the end product was a great cup of coffee! I'm thrilled with the coffee maker and haven't found a single negative aspect yet, including the price. I HIGHLY recommend this model. Kudos Delonghi, you really outdid yourself here. Amazon's shipping was simple and fast. The...

2nd Customer Review : not quite hot enough
I just got this coffee maker a few days ago and for the most part I like it, but, and this is a major but for me, the coffee just isn't quite hot enough. I find myself throwing my cup in the microwave to get it piping hot, not scalding but hot. It's nice looking, the front water loading is convenient, the coffee tastes good, but I wouldn't buy it again because of the temperature issue.
3rd Customer Review : Leaks
I had the same leaking problem that another reviewer had. After about 1 month of daily use this unit starts leaking from the back and liquid coffee goes down to the warming plate making a mess and causing a burnt coffee smell. The company kindly sent me another unit but the same thing happened. So now they are sending me a second replacement and I chose a different model which hopefully will be more reliable. But based on the review on that unit I am not optimistic that unit is any better.

Product Features :

• Long lasting and durable die-cast aluminum exterior
• Easily prepares latte and cappuccino with the swivel jet frother, for perfect drinks every time
• Use convenient pods or ground coffee with the dual function filter holder
• 15 Bar pressure
• Swivel jet frothier with adjustable steam emission

1st Customer Review : Disappointed
I purchased this blender for a great price on another site. It is a newer model from De'Longhi and has a large capacity. The blender will not function without having both the base locked in place, and the lid locked in place. This is an inconvenience as I would often like to add liquid/ice from the top of my old blender as it was on. Also, the blender is EXTREMELY loud- no matter what setting that you have it on. I wouldn't mind it being so loud if it actually blended well, but, it does not. I blended whey powder and water on the lowest setting, and it was barely mixed. I made another protein shake but added ice, and used numerous settings/speeds and it did not crush the ice and left large pieces. Overall, I am disappointed as I am sure there are much better (and quieter) blenders out there in the same price range.

2nd Customer Review : Looks Awesome but Don't Be Fooled!
I've had this blender for about a year. When I used it the first time I realized it has a couple quirks. It's better if you leave the jar off the base while filling it as it's difficult to get the lid on after it's been placed on the base. Thought I could handle that. But a few months later it started leaking from the bottom. I thought it was the bottom twisting off while I slid it on the base. But then I got it real tight and it would still leak even after it was not getting loose/unscrewed. You constantly get surprised leaks all over the counter. It doesn't matter if you tighten it with the screws. Eventually the fan broke inside the base while it was in use. Little pieces fell out the bottom. It's only been a year, I will never buy this brand again.
3rd Customer Review : Amazing

1st Customer Review : We're so convinced, we're ordering another one!
Lovely design. Great heat! Easy to move from place to place. The "new" smell disappears quickly in a few hours via following the directions. (I also used a tiny bit of lavender oil on the top fins - during those hours - to mask the initial unpleasant smell. And I placed it near a window that was ajar.) We haven't used the programming so I can't comment on that (see below for update!). (There was one similar model that lacked the programming feature, but it was not sold by Amazon and required a substantial shipping fee. My advice: Always check the origin and any shipping cost! When given a choice, I prefer Amazon. Second choice is to go through Amazon, if it's not something Amazon carries.)

Back to the heater:

This heats quickly. And it's cute! Easy to store, as this model is particularly slim. I strongly recommend reading the directions so you avoid overtaxing your electric outlets or circuits. Beyond that, this thing will be your "friend" on cold...

2nd Customer Review : Fits my needs
This is a great heater. I like that it creates its own airflow without a fan - the hot air just comes off the top as if there were a fan! I also love the timer function - you can set the heater to be on or off in 15 minute segments all day long. I use this feature to have it warm up my bedroom so it's warm when I arrive home from work, just before bedtime, and also to warm up the room before I wake up, without having the heater run all night (it's a powerful little thing!). The air doesn't get dried out, but it circulates and becomes toasty warm. There is also three output settings (1,2, and 3), so you can really crank it up if you need some heat quickly, but keep it low for everyday use. I'm extremely pleased with this heater.
3rd Customer Review : NOT a family room heater.........
If you've got high ceilings or an area larger than 14x14 and expect this unit to heat, you're going to be disappointed. Also, as the previous review states, the heat rises from the top of the unit, which is about 2 1/2 feet off the ground. If you're prone to "cold feet" this unit is NOT for you.
There is no fan on this unit, so it's perfect for an office, baby's room or bedroom that always seems to be a bit chilly. If you have a large bathroom, this would be great to pre-set the attached 24 hour timer to come on an hour or so before you get up.
So if you want to heat a 12x12 or 12x14 room or smaller this unit will be fine. Just dont expect your legs and feet to be warm.

Product Features :

• 1500 watt oil-filled radiator
• Permanently sealed pure diathermic oil never needs refilling
• High-speed convection design provides hotter air than a typical oil-filled radiator
• Venturi effect allows heated air to rise faster and gain high speed when leaving the narrowed top of the enclosed fins
• Three heat settings and adjustable thermostat

1st Customer Review : Worst customer service experienced via a product purchased on Amazon
I purchased this product based on the features and the fact it has a one year warranty. After 6 months is stopped working. Calling DeLonghi they said they would replace it. The next week they said no and told me to take it to a repair center they authorized that was out of town. Took it to the repair center and one week later they said it could not be fixed and DeLonghi was sending a new one. One week later I called DeLonghi and they said they never told the repair center they would replace. Instead they would send parts in 'a few weeks.' 8 weeks since the oven stopped working and I still do not know when or if I will ever get it back. Amazon should black-list DeLonghi as a vendor due to horrific customer service!

2nd Customer Review : Delonghi = defective by design
We had a rude awaking today, our Delonghi toaster was on fire. I will never again buy any Delonghi product. The defective design is in the toast switch. It is mechanical. When it finishes toasting, it sometimes continues to the "Always On" position thus leaving the toaster oven on toast: very, very hot. We literally had a house full of smoke & a toaster full of flames. You were warned.

Funny thing is, Delonghi makes an attractive product.

Sad thing is, they can cost you your house or worse.
3rd Customer Review : DeLonghi customer service is AWFUL!
I purchased this toaster oven because I loved its exterior design and thought it would look great in my kitchen. It did... until the middle knob came off after less than 6 months of use. I've been using a pair of pliers to turn it on for the last 5 months while I await my replacement part. I have followed-up on my request with DeLonghi customer service on a number of occassions and they offer no solution other than to continue to wait. I even left a message with a supervisor and received no response whatsoever. I vow to never buy a DeLonghi product again. Still waiting for that knob...

1st Customer Review : Read Before Buying This Fan!
Amazon states that this heater is 25x22x16. It is just over 13 inches tall and about 10 inches in diameter. This fan is about 1/4 the size I thought it would be. I don't know how Amazon came up with the dimensions they advertise.

The grills you see extend more than halfway around the unit. They oscillate in opposite directions, but they do not move far. The base itself does not oscillate, but it does have a step switch which turns the motion on and off.

At the strongest setting, one can barely feel the hot air blowing from the grills. Air only moves from the very center of the grills. I could not tell the difference between the 3 speeds, but when I adjusted the air speed downward, it quit blowing entirely.

Unlike other heaters I've had, the grills get hot enough to burn you if you touch them. I think they would also get hot enough to combust anything too close. I sacrificed a finger to it so that the rest of you won't have too! Interestingly, the sides...

2nd Customer Review : Better sit CLOSE
After 2 day with heater, it is way too small to heat anything too far away. I have to sit right next to it to feel any heat. Better put it on Max also. My unit for some reason the blows heat on the bottom, then cool air on top. Smart if you want a fan and heater at the same time in the winter. Oscillating doesn't do a thing but make small background noise...You think some kind of insect is in you house. Don't waste you money on this one. Return slip is filled out already.
3rd Customer Review : Great little heater for the price
It is smaller than listed, but a great little heater for a bathroom or to knock off the chill in a smaller size room, say about a 10 X 10 ft size. I bought 3 of them and they are great for my intended purpose. With natural gas going up 48% this winter, they will pay for themselves this season alone.

Product Features :

• Twin ceramic heating elements provide fast, efficient heat distribution
• 3 heat settings plus fan setting for summer use or general ventilation
• Oscillating base; adjustable thermostat; anti-freeze setting; air filtration
• Convenient "on/off" foot switch; tip-over switch; some assembly required

1st Customer Review : Very happy with my purchase
I am very very happy with my purchase, the whole thing was a little larger than I thought, but it turned out to be even better, I was affraid it wouldn't chop small quantities very well, but wrong, it even chops a small onion! The blades are very sharp, the mixer works great and the best part is the pad like thing under each bowl, which helps you hold the bowl on its place and not scratch the table while blending or chopping (not that it moves while working with), you can use the pad as a lid for the bowl if you want to, which is a very useful thing. I had a Braun blender 6 years ago which I was very happy with, but this one is the best! I just dont understand why they dont put an on/off button, you have to hold the button all the time you're working, which is not very long by the way! Cause this baby is quick!

2nd Customer Review : Hand blender excellence
As far as the hand blender goes, this one seems to be great. I've been using it almost daily for 2 weeks for fruit and vegetable smoothies and it works great. You cannot use ice with this machine, which is kind of a bummer but I freeze my fruit so when I chop it up and throw it in, depending on how much liquid you add (I usually use vanilla soymilk) you can make anything from a creamy smoothie to a sorbet like dessert. Just remember to move the blender up and down and all around, you won't blend anything by leaving it in one spot.

The spin on the blade is so vigorous that it will actually try to suction itself to the bottom of thinner fluids. All in all, this is a great compliment to my kitchen.

The whisk is almost useless to me because of the high power of the motor, and the delicacy of the which. You cannot whisk anything as thick as butter and sugar (so says the instruction manual) and I haven't tried it on any batters because of that warning. I tried...
3rd Customer Review : Great product....
I'm really happy with this overall. The only issue is that you have to hand wash the whisk attachment. I put it in the top rack of the Dishwasher after the first time I used it, and the upper housing was full of water when the wash cycle was done. It took a while to shake out all the water, lesson learned. Perhaps if I actually opened the manual, this warning would be in bold red letters, but what's the fun in that!

Product Features :

• Get powerful, efficient and controllable blending at the touch of a button with the unique triblade design
• Enjoy quick and efficient, splash-free blending with the stainless steel triple blade
• Comes complete with Chopper, Whisk and Beaker attachments
• Easy one hand operation with push button control for pulse or continuous blending; safer and more comfortable operation
