1st Customer Review : It's back!
We owned one of these DeLonghi electric cheese graters for nearly 10 years, it was wonderful. The rechargeable battery finally died a little over a year ago and we were unable to find a replacement. Then I just saw this one, which is basically the same as the old unit and decided to give it a try. The only difference appears to be that the piece that grips the cheese and pushes it into the grate wheel used to be rubber and now it is a hard plastic.
We're excited that DeLonghi brought this product back. So far, the new unit has been excellent for grinding both hard and softer cheeses.
Our whole family uses this grater. It's great for placing on the table and everyone grinds onto their own dish. It grates quickly and nicely. Another reviewer noted that it is hard to take apart to clean; however, while the parts may fit together a little too snugly out of the box, after it has been taken apart a few times, it loosens up and is actually quite easy to clean.

I have been using DeLonghi products since I "discovered" them quite a number of years ago. Like all the other DeLonghi items I own, this electric cheese grater is already a favourite.
I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, so grating hard cheese manually, is something I can no longer do. When I read Philly Bob's report that this was his second DeLonghi cheese grater, I knew it was going to quickly be residing in my home too.
It's straight forward to use, straight forward to care for and best of all, using it causes me absolute NO physical pain! What a treat! Hard cheese grates beautifully. I just set the base on the counter top, press the button and hold the hopper lid down. No pain for me. The cheese is very evenly grated and since it hasn't been sitting around for weeks in a dark green shaker bottle, the fresh ground cheese is not only delicious, it also has good melting properties.
Thank you DeLonghi for bringing back a great product. Please...

very good product. before i gratted the cheese with hand and it was time consuming. now in 20 seconds i have the cheese for all the family.
