1st Customer Review : Just okay
First I gotta say I love the color: orange-very vibrant, fresh & modern looking on the kitchen counter. :-)
The reason I gave it *3 stars* is because it burns things to a crisp anything past the 1st setting on the dial. Never had a toaster like this. Even being on the lightest setting my toast, waffle or whatever comes out slightly too cooked. Who wants a hard waffle? : / So, liking a "lightly toasted bagel" it's kind of a pain for me since I'm having to stand over it. Guess it depends on what you want in a toaster!

2nd Customer Review : Functional and Stylish Toaster
It's a toaster. It does its job, and it does it well. Several other reviews mention that the lower settings are too hot and end up burning the bread, but I have not found this to be the case with my unit. Settings 1-4 provide good variability in heating, while anything above 4 will burn whatever happens to be in the slots at the time. The toaster is stylish and simple; it is a pleasure to look at. The included toast rack/bun warmer is a nice addition, however I don't use it myself. I'm a huge fan of the "peek" functionality that allows you to see how your toast or bagel is coming along if you are the curious type. My only nitpick with the appliance is that the number settings on the dial are very difficult to spot -- you need to get real close to read the small numbers on the reflective finish. Ultimately, if you are looking for a stylish toaster that works well and don't mind spending the extra coin, this kMix model fits the bill.
3rd Customer Review : Hot thang
My roommates and I chose this toaster together, since between the 3 of us, we didn't have one. I became very concerned after seeing so many negative reviews of OTHER toasters, I felt that finding a decent toaster was an impossible feat, but I was drawn in to this one based on the good reviews and simple design.
So far, we have been using the toaster daily (as of a few weeks ago); we tend to eat a decent amount of toast and bagels in the morning. The toaster seems to toast quickly as the heating elements are quite hot. So out of about 8 levels of heat, a room temperature slice of sandwich bread will become golden brown at the 1.5-2 setting, and a bagel will get medium brown at about 2.75 or just under the 3 setting. For frozen or cold items, use the higher settings, though I never freeze bread or eat frozen waffles and the like--I don't have an exact figure.
